A highlight of the event was a keynote address from Jim Gamble, QPM , Chief Executive of Ineqe Safeguarding Group and Independent Safeguarding Children Commissioner for City of London and Hackney, Lambeth and Bromley. Jim also co-authored the first UK Domestic Homicide Review in 2008 and provided valuable insights into his current experience of Domestic Homicide Review and safeguarding.

Other important topics covered included, exploring, acknowledging and understanding trauma resulting from sexual assault and abuse, along with the responses from both professionals and clients. There was an overview of the Regional Sexual Health Action Plan and a discussion on the Department of Health’s Ending Violence Against Women and Girls (EVAWG) Strategy.

Attendees had the opportunity to network and engage in meaningful discussions, gain professional insights and enhance their understanding of how to support individuals affected by sexual abuse and domestic violence.
